Richard trained as an artist at the Newcastle School of Art. An accomplished illustrator his work has appeared in numerous publications including The Times and Radio Times. After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree Richard worked, as an illustrator, artist, broadcaster and teacher.
After twenty years in television as a News Anchor at the BBC & ITV he started painting again full time.
Working between his cottage studio in Northumberland and a house in Provence he paints and documents architecture that inspires him.
