This Privacy Policy explains how Richard T. Swallow collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this website (www.richardtswallow.com). I am a sole trader based in the United Kingdom and the data controller for the information I hold about you.

I only collect information you give me directly, or that is automatically generated when you use the website:

When you buy a painting: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and payment information.

When you use the enquiry form: your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

When you sign up to my newsletter (if applicable): your email address.

Automatically: basic analytics from your visit (page views, device type, country).

This is collected by Squarespace, the platform that hosts this site, and is anonymised. I do not collect or store your card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, my payment provider.

How I use your information

I use your information to: Process and fulfil your order Communicate with you about your purchase or enquiry Arrange shipping with a courier Reply to your questions Send you newsletters or updates only if you have explicitly signed up Comply with my legal and tax obligations as a UK business I will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

Who I share your information with

I share your information only with parties who help me run the website and fulfil orders:

Squarespace hosts this website and processes form submissions on my behalf. Their privacy policy is at squarespace.com/privacy.

Stripe processes payments. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Couriers when you buy a painting, I share your name, delivery address, and phone number with my chosen courier so they can deliver to you.

HMRC and other legal authorities, only where required by UK law. I do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

How long I keep your information

Order records: I keep these for six years, as required by UK tax law.

Enquiry messages: I keep these for two years in case you reach out again, then I delete them.

Newsletter subscribers: I keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

This website uses a small number of cookies to function properly. These are managed by Squarespace and include: Essential cookies that make the website work (you cannot opt out of these). Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to Request a copy of the personal information I hold about you. Ask me to correct any information that is wrong.
